This site is set in Cormorant Garamond, chosen for its clarity, restraint, and affinity with the traditions of long-form reading. The layout favours space and continuity, allowing essays to unfold without interruption.

Texts are published without dates and revised occasionally, rather than replaced. New work appears infrequently and without schedule.

Much of the writing on this site is shaped in West Cornwall, often after time spent walking, observing, or returning to the same ground in different conditions. Where photographs appear, they are my own.

The site is intended to be read slowly, revisited occasionally, and left incomplete.
